Embracing Change: My Journey Through Uncertainty

As a child, I believed that one day everything would fall into place neat, perfect, and orderly. It’s a beautiful illusion, isn’t it? To think that life will simply align. But life had other plans.
I still remember standing at certain crossroads, when a decision had the power to change everything. The fear of the unknown was overwhelming. Yet, each time, I discovered that change is not something to fear but to embrace. It is through change that we grow, evolve, and discover our true potential.
Looking back, I can hardly believe the number of times my path has shifted some changes I chose, others arrived without warning. Each one shaped me. Each one taught me something essential: emotions are not obstacles to overcome but messages to listen to. For a long time, I resisted the uncomfortable ones, fear, sadness, frustration. Eventually, I learned that pushing them away only makes them come back louder.
What helped me most was a shift in perspective: change does not have to be radical or absolute. It begins with small steps, sleeping a little better, feeling slightly less afraid, finding moments of calm. Growth is never linear, and success is not about eliminating all problems but learning to move forward, even imperfectly.
My own life has been a continuous practice of this truth. From Argentina to Italy, where I pursued a dream as a professional volleyball player until a knee injury forced me to let go. Then to Spain, where I started over, validating my medical degree and working across three cities before stepping into the pharmaceutical world. Later, to Switzerland, where my career expanded further. And eventually, to another unexpected turning point: losing my job after years of dedication.
That moment could have felt like an ending. Instead, it became the beginning of something new. I chose to study psychotherapy not only to expand my skills but because I deeply wanted to accompany others through their own changes, fears, and new beginnings.
Every turning point in my life has started with something small: a choice, a setback, or simply curiosity. And each has shown me that change is never the end of the story it’s the doorway to the next chapter.
So if you are standing at your own crossroads, I invite you to see change differently. Not as something to dread, but as an opportunity to listen, to grow, and to take that next small step forward.
Because sometimes, it is the smallest change that opens the path to the biggest transformation.
